Last month, my one and only nephew turned one.
His name is Titus. He’s hilarious.
His momentous birthday brought about a birthday party in Santa Maria, California where Titus lives with his wonderful parents (my middle sister and her husband). Since me, my husband, my youngest sister, her husband, and my parents, needed a place to stay, we checked into rental houses. What we found was wonderful. On Trip Advisor you will find it as “Oceano Dunes Vacation Home.”
It looks like this:
Has a view like this (the beach is slightly peeking over a rooftop):
And provides a living room like this:
The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room and kitchen are upstairs, which is great because it allows for a brilliant view.
I’ve stayed in dozens of vacation rentals and this was one of the smoothest, most organized, and most pleasant. We had quick responses from the property manager and communication was easy. Additionally, the beach beckoned us visually from the upstairs and fragrantly from outside. The fresh air was dreamy.
There was a large grocery store a 5 minute drive away and a number of cafes, restaurants, and so on, as well. There are many awesome spots for long walks dotted in dunes and peace. It a great spot to spread your wings of tranquility and fine-tune the rhythms of your vision.
Plus, we had a small yard.
The yard smartly housed a great BBQ and a portable fire pit! My Palestinian brother-in-law cooked up a feast on the BBQ and we drank the rich starry sky as our evening closed around the fire pit.
The house rents for $300 nightly (not including cleaning fees and tax etc). It you house 6 people as we did, that’s a happy $50 each nightly! It’s very worth it!
We had a truly marvelous, memorable three night stay at this house. If you are looking for a place to stay in the San Luis Obispo, Pismo, Central Coast area, look it up! And let them know this review sent you!
P.S. THERE’S A PING-PONG TABLE! (If the rest didn’t nab your interest, that might.) ;-)
